About Me
I’m Baaba Onyejiji, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities in their healing. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, where I built the foundation for my work as both a clinician and leader.
As a therapist, my heart has always been rooted in the meaningful connections built in the therapy room. I’ve provided care across a variety of settings including residential treatment, outpatient programs, and private practice—working with adults, families, and adolescents. Over time, my clinical practice expanded into leadership. I’ve served in executive roles where I’ve spearheaded the opening of two outpatient clinics, led large multidisciplinary teams, and designed innovative clinical programs. These experiences have allowed me to balance my love for direct client care with a commitment to strengthening systems that support both clinicians and the communities they serve.
As a first-generation American and the daughter of Ghanaian immigrants, I carry a deep commitment to culturally responsive care and equity in mental health. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, safe, and supported—and I bring this philosophy into every space I lead, whether with clients, clinicians, or organizations.
Today, I continue to combine my dual passions: providing therapy for adults seeking growth and resilience, and consulting with organizations to strengthen clinical programs, equity practices, and leadership development.
